19/03/19 - GEMS is back in 2019!!!
We have 5 new Values that encapsulate who we are as a group of young girls in STEM:
We are aiming for some fantastic projects this year including a collaboration project between GEMS and SRC. For Term 1, we are going to build our club and complete some fun activities. We have created a merchandise and promotions team to help get our name out there in the school and wider community.
We have also teamed up with UTS in Sydney for a STEAMPunk project which will operate in Term 2. Initial ideas are currently being formulated by our innovative and dedicated team.

05/03/18 - We were lucky to receive some robotic equipment and have spent the day assembling the machines. We will post photos when we have completed them!
On Monday 19/02/18 the GEMS club used the principles of physics to design a pendulum that creates art. Below is a picture of our first result. Our next venture is to create a 3x3m painting to display in the science labs!
The GEMS club is happy to announce that we are opening up the club to other years in the school. If you are interested in completing STEM activities after school, feel free to come along Monday and Tuesday afternoons. If you can't make it in the afternoons, don't sweat, come Thursday lunch in S010 to be a part of the group!!
INTRODUCTION
GEMS is a program at Cromer entailing the advancement of girls taking up science and maths. We hope to reach out to younger age groups and show them the fun and intriguing world of science. We are striving to achieve a higher percentage of women in science, maths, engineering, and technology based areas outside of school.
